Sean was born in Brooklyn, New York. He has been illustrating since he was a teenager, primarily working with author Brian Jacques on the Redwall series.

Sean's first commission was a holiday greeting card for the Redwall Abbey Company, printed in 2001. Since that time he has illustrated covers for nearly all the Recorded Books releases of the Redwall novels, including New York Times bestsellers Loamhedge and Taggerung. Other projects include illustrating Sunday School curriculum for Great Commission Publications in Swannee, Georgia, and designing promotional material for Princeton University. Sean has designed everything from logos to t-shirts to invitations.

Sean currently divides his time between Long Island, New York and Princeton, where he is studying for a degree in Art and Archeology. In his spare time, he visits museums or likes to travel. Asia is a current favorite.
